Initial Account Setup
When your admin assigns you a Zoom Phone license, you'll receive an email to complete initial setup.
First-Time Activation
Enter Required Information
Country and area code: The area code is used when you dial local numbers
Timezone: Set the correct timezone—it affects several Zoom Phone features including your business/closed/holiday hours and desk phones
PIN: Enter a voicemail PIN used to check your voicemail on desk phones. You won't need the PIN to check voicemail using the Zoom desktop, mobile app, or web portal

⚠️ Common Issues

Can't access Phone settings in web portal? → Your admin may not have activated your Zoom Phone license yet. Check with IT to confirm license assignment.
Emergency address won't save? → Ensure the address is properly formatted with street number, name, city, state, and ZIP. Use the address validator suggestions.
Settings changed but not taking effect? → Some settings require a few minutes to propagate. Desk phone settings may require a phone reboot.
Can't find a specific setting? → Some settings are only available in the web portal, not desktop/mobile apps. Check the web portal first.
